Last night as I was going to sleep I did the math. In 8 years, I will have been married for half my life. Crazy! I don't know exactly what to think of that but it is hard to think of my adult life without Jason. I know there are so many things I would not have been able to do if it wasn't for him. (Not counting having kids!) So here is a top ten list for my husband--warning: cheesy alert
10. He has great fashion sense. Don't you love that shirt? Don't you wish your husband could have one?
9. He's the best at playing monster with the kids. (And it saves me from doing it, I'm a killjoy.)
8. He provides me with a lavish lifestyle. All the DI and Savers clothes I could ever want!
7. He's given me 3 redheaded children. Blondes may be beautiful but redheads are remembered!
6. He's clean. Good thing! 9 times out of 10 his closet is cleaner than mine. Okay, probably more like 10 out of 10 but for that rare chance . . .
5. He's a hard worker. Because of him I don't have to hire ---a water softener guy, a hot tub mechanic, an electrician, a plumber, a carpenter, a carpet cleaner, and so on. The list goes on and on.
4. He's a great dad and gives me LOTS of breaks. Because we all know I need it!
3. He's handsome and in good shape. I wouldn't want redheaded kids if I didn't think they were cute!
2. He's an excellent musician. But he lets me feel like I'm the better of the two by pretending he can't read music!
1. He makes me laugh. You can't make it through life without this.
I'm SO glad we're in this together and so grateful I have him.
Happy Anniversary J!
PS I just thought of an honorable mention that I couldn't forget. Jason is the BEST about going out for late night runs. I know that sounds insignificant but I LOOOOOOVE that about him. Whenever I'm jonesin' for some Salt and Vinegar Chips and Cottage Cheese (don't knock it 'til you've tried it) or whatever, he's so great about getting it.

Aw, cute. :) Happy anniversary!
Awww, you guys ROCK. That was sweet, Lu, and I am a fan of JDawg, too, cuz he made me laugh A LOT at work when I coulda been crying! I thot of how funny Jason is when, then other night at the hotel, I checked in a Scandinavian family and one of them was named Juppe (YOU-peh) and it reminded me that Jason used to call me JUPPA--even addressing emails and memos to JUPPA. Silly goose. And I think he hired me because in my interview I said I liked the Cocteau Twins and Innocence Mission. Have a fun anniversary, guys. I am glad to know you both! (and your kids are so cute!)
So if my math is right, you will be married for half your life at age 38, whereas I will be 50 before that's true. I knew I was practically an old maid by the time I got married.
(Hi, I just linked here from Segullah. My mom would pay big bucks for redheaded grandchildren (okay so I think her standing offer is just $50 if any of us manages to produce one -- once my sister even put henna on her daughter's hair to fake out my mom) so I think she would approve of Jason. Happy anniversary.
